What we’re looking for

You’ll need

  • A diploma-level qualification approved for OSHC in Victoria — or be enrolled and studying one
  • A valid Victorian Working With Children Check (or be happy to apply — we'll help)
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Respect for Islamic values and a love of working with children

Great if you have

  • A first aid certificate
  • Experience with primary school-aged children
  • Availability across several weeks of the summer holidays
  • Your own transport for excursion days

What you’ll do

Lead and join in games, sport, art and STEM; supervise excursions and keep every child safe; help serve healthy, halal meals; and build warm relationships with children and families. Holiday Quest runs 7:00am – 6:00pm for children aged 5–12 years — see what it’s like.

You might already qualify

In Victoria, at least half the educators on the floor must hold (or be studying) a diploma-level qualification approved for OSHC. Lots of qualifications count — not just early-childhood diplomas.

  • Diploma of School Age Education and Care
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Diploma of Out of School Hours Care
  • Diploma of Children’s Services (OSHC)

Education & teaching

  • A primary or secondary teaching qualification at diploma level or above — e.g. a Bachelor of Education
  • Current Teacher Registration
  • A Certificate in Teaching or Education requiring at least 2 years’ study
  • Diploma in Education Support (at least 2 years’ study)

Youth & community

  • Diploma of Community Services
  • Diploma of Community Welfare Work
  • Diploma or Bachelor of Youth Work
  • Bachelor of Arts (Youth Studies, Youth Affairs or Recreation)
  • Bachelor of Social Science (Youth Work)
  • Bachelor of Social Work (with 12 months’ experience with school-age children)

Sport & recreation

  • Bachelor of Physical Education
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Physical Education)
  • Bachelor of Sport Science (Exercise Science)
  • Associate Diploma in Arts (Fitness, Recreation or Leadership)

Studying one of these counts too, as long as you’re enrolled and actively studying.

Have a Certificate III-level qualification instead (e.g. Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or Certificate III or IV in Education Support)? Register your interest — we have other roles that suit.
