Program Focus:
In this role, you’ll guide our OSHC services’ programming, showing educators how to engage children and families in a vibrant and enriching curriculum. You’ll champion a ‘play-with-purpose’ approach, enriching children’s lives through various activities, including creative expression, active play, and educational experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging programs for children aged 5-12 years.
- Mentor educators on best practices in programming and execution.
- Engage with the broader OSHC/early education community through networking and professional development.
- Lead inquiry projects and curriculum extensions.
- Maintain effective communication with staff, families, and the community.
- Oversee the service’s quality improvement processes in collaboration with coordinators and quality leaders.
- Ensure adherence to high-quality service delivery standards and compliance with policies.
- Manage the day-to-day operations in the coordinator’s absence, acting as the 2IC.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive approach.
- Deep understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and the My Time, Our Place (MTOP) framework.
- Creative and dynamic in planning and implementing activities for diverse groups.
- Current First Aid qualification and Child Protection certification are essential.
